Magic Maker - Mo Manley

Posted on

We are honored to introduce you to a true champion and Magic Maker, Mo Manley!  At Posie Turner, we are excited to shine a light on people who we admire and who illuminate the world around them.

Inspire yourself. Inspire each other. Together, we are Posie Turner.

Name: Maureen “Mo” Manley

Occupation: President, Spirit In Motion

Past life? Former member of the US Women’s Cycling Team.

Astrological sign? Pisces

Favorite drink? Kale, blueberry, banana with some sort of fabulous liquid smoothie.

Favorite mantra? Om

What are you most proud of? My choice to listen to my Spirit and follow its guidance. With most of what I’ve achieved there wasn’t an established path to follow. I needed to create my own. I’m proud of what I achieved on the US Cycling Team, meeting the challenges of MS, being a single mom, (and raising an amazing son), creating my own program in graduate school, returning to cycling, and having a successful business delivering a variety of health, wellness and performance programs.

What advice would you give to your younger self? Keep believing in yourself. Continue to learn, grow, stretch and challenge yourself.

If you could have one wish come true, what would it be? That people’s internal torment and ideas of separation would be healed so that it would be unthinkable to harm or not care for another.

Who is your idol? I don’t have one Idol. I admire people who embody the Warrior Archetype. They fight for things instead of against things. They are wise, intelligent, tough and courageous. These Warriors are trailblazers who challenge the status quo in order for something healing, innovative, and creative to be brought into the world.

What is one thing your friends would be surprised to know about you? I once wanted to be Forest Ranger.

Where do you go to find inspiration? To a variety of faith based teachings. To people doing extraordinary things with their lives. And to nature.

If you could make one wish for our world, what would it be? That people would choose love over fear and then BEHAVE that.

What is one of the biggest challenges you have faced in your life? Overcoming some immensely challenging times with Multiple Sclerosis.

Favorite Posie Turner sock? Be Fearless
